Our community engagement programs are based on the democratic idea that everyone who is affected by an issue that impacts their community should have a say in the decision making around it. We welcome everyone in our community to come forward and participate in the decision-making process that will bring change in long term provision of services, future visions, and sustainability of our community. We believe that our community engagement provides the community with information they need to engage in a meaningful way.
We provide a wide range of practical support in the Rohingya Centre, developing local and provincewide partnerships with a variety of public and voluntary sector organizations to maximize opportunities for local members of the community and groups.
RCC’s community connections programs provide newcomers with bridges to their community as an important step in the settlement and integration process. Programs support newcomers to establish social and professional networks which are vital to achieving their personal and professional goals.
